By: Sabrina Rodriguez Yes, I got to go! My dad said that I could go to The Jonas Brothers concert. When I found out I was so happy because I loved The Jonas Brothers and I was grounded all summer so I wasn’t able to talk or see by best friend Sydney. The concert was in St. Louis. I was going to be going with Sydney for her birthday. I was going to spend the night, leave and go to the concert, comeback, and then spend the night again. Along with The Jonas Brothers there was going to be Demi Lavato and Avril lavigne performing at the concert too.
We left Tuesday afternoon to drive to St. Louis it took about four hours to get down there. On the way there we listen to music, talked, and played games. When we got there we were super excited because we knew it was going to be an awesome day. When we got to St. Louis we went to go and eat and then we went to the concert. We got there at 4:30pm. When we arrived we had to stand in line, which wasn’t that bad. At 6:00pm they opened the gates. We all ran to the other gates. When they opened the other gates we all ran to our spots. We got lawn seats so we were one of the first people in the lawn. Then me and Sydney went to go and buy our shirts, we both got the same shirt. Then Demi came out and everyone was screaming. The crowd went wild for her. After she was done singing they were setting up for Avril. Sydney’s dad and little brother went to go get something to eat but we didn’t go because we didn’t want to miss anything. Then Avril started to sing we were all standing up singing along with her. When she was done they started setting up for The Jonas Brothers and because there so great it took them a little bit longer to set up. While they were setting up we were text messaging our friend Keira and telling her about the concert because she loves Avril lavigne. It took awhile but they finally came out. We were all screaming and having a great time. They were singing and then Nick started talking about his diabetes. He started to sing a Little Bit Longer. Everyone was crying because it was really sad. Then they started to sing and do cool tricks and stuff was on fire. They went backstage and we thought it was over, but then they did two encores. The crowd went crazy. It was my first concert and I was having a blast. When they got done they had another show to do so they got on there bus and left. Sydney and I had been drinking water all night and haven’t been to the bathroom so we really had to go. So, after we went to the bathroom we started walking to our car. Trying to get out of there was crazy, everyone was walking and trying to get in their cars. When we were trying to get out I was afraid that we were going to run over some people. We finally got out of there at midnight. On the way home Sydney was asleep but I just couldn’t fall asleep. When we got home we went into Sydney’s room and fell asleep at 4:30am. In the morning we got up at ten. When we woke up we had lost our voice from screaming so much.
When I got home I was thinking that yesterday was the best day of my life. I always have bad feelings about things because sometimes when we have something planed it goes bad. So, I thought that we might not make it there or because it was raining badly earlier that day and It was an outside concert they were going to cancel it. In the end the concert was awesome and I was glad that I went. This experience has taught me that I should always look at life in a positive light and not in a negative light. Because, some how it will always turn out good. I will always remember that day because it was the best day of my life.
